The Muztagh Ata, located at the Pamir Plateau at an altitude of over 7,500 meters in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is an attraction to mountaineering enthusiasts from around the world. During the climbing season, people gather in Subax Village, Akto County, at the foot of the Muztagh Ata for mountaineering. As for those local people who are familiar with the terrain and climate here, participating in international mountaineering sports can increase their income and improve their livelihoods. At the same time, through mountaineering, they also gain a deeper understanding of the outside world. Like many other young people in the village, 23-year-old Taxibayi Janibaiki works as a porter for mountaineering teams during the summer.
